I am a qualified camera operator and first assistant camera with a wide range of experience. I have filmed documentaries, docu-reality shows, feature films, shorts, music video clips and TVC/promos.
My filming career began when I was quite young, under the wing of my father Adriano Zecca, who dedicated all his life to directing and filming several documentaries around the world.
In 1998 at the age of 19, I started working professionally in a camera department as second camera in the shooting of the documentary "Guarani': Il diritto di essere popolo" and "Violini della foresta" for the Swiss Italian Television (TSI).
Later I began to be interested in fiction and worked with the DoP Stefano Spiti AIC-IMAGO as first camera assistant/focus puller with the Red One in a feature films and commercials.
These experiences led me to work as camera and light technician at the "Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Sede Lombardia", the Italian National Film School in Milan.
At the end of 2012 I got the opportunity to be the cinematographer of the trailer preview of the film documentary "L'acqua e il pane di ogni giorno". A project of the great director Ermanno Olmi, that will be exhibited at the Expo Milano 2015.
Upon finishing this I moved to Santiago, Chile. Where I worked as second unit cinematographer in a docu-reality production called "Cuarto Medio" for the TVN.
I think one of the greatest things about my work is to have had the opportunity to travel and know different cultures, working in many countries from South America to Africa, through Asia and also Australia.
At the moment I live in Milan.
